I think you will find most people get about what they expect when they stay at a park and believe that they paid a relatively fair price for it. The landscape across the country isn't littered with boarded up RV parks, so his contention that they are mostly run by poor business people doesn't appear to be accurate. And then there is the most recent addition to his post, now he finds a lot of parks do things that are "Dodgy" at best. Again, no explanation, just a veiled attack at the owner's and management's integrity.
Some here are criticizing the OP not for being wrong in what he said but for having said it.
At parks where I have stayed, I usually find the customer service to be friendly. Granted, not all had free cookies, yet my day isn't ruined. I do not expect to develop lifelong friendships with every innkeeper I encounter, so I am not disappointed if the only service I receive is I get a site that accommodates my rig. That happens almost all the time, I can't think of a time when I was assigned a site that literally would not work. Did I always get the best site? No. Did I care to the point of being upset with the entire park? Also No. My experience is RV parks are no better or no worse than any other business. I am satisfied about 99 percent of the time, which is about the same satisfaction percentage I can claim about Costco, Walmart, Verizon, Directv, Exxon and all the other businesses I patronize.
