I have never been to a RV park. I go to local public parks. They will fit into your description very well too.
They can be all over the map from the ones that are just retirement communities that my tax dollars help to pay for. To the ones that are out in the middle of no where with very few amenities.
Personally, I avoid the "retirement community" types and gravitate more to the "layed back nobody is in your face all the time" types. But, that is just me and my style.
The Title of your thread is something like "RV parks you love them you hate them you need them".
I don't need them.
But, I understand they have a place ! Without them more people would be forcing there way into the places I enjoy.
