@FTD Consider this. You proclaimed yourself a qualified expert on the subject.
You more or less stated most RV parks are poorly managed by people who have no idea what they are doing.
Do you think WRVPO might be be highly offended by your comments?
Did you consider others might be offended as well.
Just the implications of the title is somewhat offensive.
In the end you are asking him to play nice as though you can't imagine why he is so riled up.
You seem to enjoy these volatile post. That manage to insight many of us.
I'm not sure what you expect the outcome to be,but for the most part the response has been sort of angry and counterproductive.
What is your end game? Is your goal to disturb the peace of the forum?
Why you may have a lot of business savvy/experience. You are not very in touch with the audience reading your post/diatribe.
Attempt to talk to your audience, not at your audience.
Most of us are here to discuss all things RV.However we are not looking to be forcibly enlightened, taught or lectured.
A little humility can go a long way. I do believe you may have a lot of wisdom to share, but you need to find a kinder, gentler way to share/express it.
You make some valid points. But I have to point out that your initial premise that I wrote or even implied that the majority of RV Parks are poorly managed is just plain wrong I did no such thing.
WRVPO with due respect, seems to be offended by ANY criticism of any aspect of RV Parks, Customer service or RV Park owners and he has shown that on many many occasions. He more than anyone has disturbed the peace here. Nothing in my op should have elicited such a harsh reaction.
And just because one is offended by something I wrote does NOT give one the right to make personal attacks or hijack the topic which he has done time and again. Disagree..Yes but do it civilly.
No one can be forcibly enlightened on a forum where they CHOOSE to read a thread or post. If they are in disagreement they can simply go on to another forum or post.
Any FAIR reading of my original post would stretch the meaning of "Diatribe" to spectacular limits. It most certainly was not that.
It was CRITICAL of a certain SEGMENT of the RV Park industry. But it was also positive of others. My post may have been taken with a bit more negative "tone" than was intended in the readers head for sure. But if you read it carefully it is not negative in the majority at all.
And to your first line: I have never written that I was an expert or authority or "Qualified Expert" on this or anything else. I HAVE given my experience as CONTEXT for the reader so they can better understand my position and how I come to the issue. I also only got into that when attacked (not a word I use lightly by the way) by RVPO on the subject of my experience.
What I HAVE written is that my experience entitles me to hold an informed opinion. That is a much different thing.
And again when I gave WRVPO the chance to politely discuss it with me over email so I could prove my experience to him, and get it off this forum where it does not belong he rudely declined.
