We got lucky? and found a place that with indoor storage that pulls out the TT and has it waiting for us when we request it. When done, just drop it off and they put it away. It has facilities that allow me to do maintenance like lubing axles, washing/waxing and such for $50 mo. That is the min. charge so a larger TT may cost more per mo.
I would rather have it stored off site indoors than on my property out side in the elements. That is what is hardest on a unit long term IMO.

Storage is about 2 miles, no power or water, we keep the 5er ready, we repack AFTER the previous trip. Refill propane, take laundry home and wash dry and return. I do most maintenance in the storage yard. In fact just finished installing Slide toppers at the yard. Used battery powered drill driver and used our small generator to recharge the batteries.
I will add that we are blessed with an extra wide storage space. If we park correctly we can open both slides while in our space.
Heading out for a trip, we empty the house refer into a tote, and hit the road.
We are currently in an end unit Town House, and can back the unit in for a quick wash. We were also able to use the space while I installed the correct trak system.
I did install the Cheap Heat system in the yard, you just need to adjust your thinking, from this will never work, to how do I make this work.
To those that insist that they store the trailer at home, nothing tells a thief no one is home like the TV and trailer gone!!
