We ived in a condo before selling and full timing. We left sheets, towels, etc in the RV and only had to take food, clothing, toiletries to the storage lot. We would usually do this a day or two before and turn the fridge on propane. Then we would repeat the process at the end of our camping trip. The last year or two, we spent quite a bit of time in the RV and added our work clothes to the mix. I am glad that we do not have to do that anymore but as long as you plan, it is fine. When we would go somewhere for the weekend, we would hitch up and drop the truck/5th wheel in a big parking lot where I worked and spouse would take the car to his workplace. After work, I would head down to the RV, wait for the spouse, and head out after he arrived. We would leave our car in the parking lot for the weekend (military base so pretty safe). Was really a timesaver for our weekend getaways.
