I wasn't talking about the static load capacity - I was talking about the gross vehicle weight rating. (GVWR - UVW = CCC)

The GVWR does not apply while in static condition. When the trailer is parked who cares how many people are in the trailer?
My rig can easily sleep 10 people. I'm not at all concerned with their weight or the effect of their weight while parked.
I understand there is a static load limit, but it is not the GVWR.

I don't think I can have an entire football team in the RV jumping at once.But I'm not a all concerned with an RV full of people filling every bed and seat available at the same time.
The dynamics while traveling down the road are totally different from the forces encountered while just parked.

I've seen some motorhomes with a sub-1000 pound CCC. Fill the water and propane tanks, exhale in it, and the rig was overweight.

Not necessarily - this is very much up to how one chooses to pack, and what one chooses the pack. My cargo weighs in at 220 lbs fully loaded without the bikes, 350 lbs with. (For a family of 5, but I'm VERY careful about keeping the weight within limits.)

My trailer is a bit of an oddball - its CCC is higher than many much larger trailers (~2500 lbs if memory serves) - pretty ridiculous in a trailer this small.

I think mine was in the 1100lb range when I got it. They also did the axle\wheel\tire swap for me and it is much higher now.

This is also the root cause of most tire issues....folks assume that if there is a cabinet in the trailer, they can put stuff in it. So the RV gets packed and never weighed, some wind up woefully over their ratings and then have endless problems with tires blowing out.

This was more common in the '90s era with some less than 1000 lb CCC. IMO the RV industry keeping low GVWR numbers for the 3/4 ton truck market.
My '97 5er has a 850 lb CCC.

In the early '00's the industry upped CCC levels after much customer complaining from full timers and owners who carried lots of extra "stuff" in their RVs.

FR Sandpipers/Sierra 365 SAQ had this issue a couple of years ago. They put 6000 lb. axles on and the CCC was 900 lbs. They ended up replacing many axles with 7000 lb units to increase the CCC and now they come standard with the 7000/axles.

These were on our short list when bought out first five two years ago until I seen how little they carried. I think think was an expensive mistake for FR.
