Other Fees
A new tire fee of $1 for each new tire and a lead-acid battery fee of $1.50 for each new battery will apply to an RV sale. The dealer must separately state the new tire fee on the invoice, but has the option of separately stating the new lead-acid battery fee. For more information, read our Solid Waste and Motor Vehicle Fees brochure (Form GT-800037).
and, once again, it all makes me very glad to be living in Montana!
NO sales or use tax, except for a couple of towns which have local option sales taxes, mostly in ski areas.
NO tire or battery fees on vehicles, just when you buy new tires or batteries.
PERMANENT registration on all boats, motorcycles, trailers (any size or type), street-legal ATVs, and vehicles 11 years old or older.
Thank you, Mother, for NOT staying in FLA when we were there during the War! Thank you, also, for bringing me to Montana in 1948!
