- racerguyExplorerMore than likely the axle and tires are not up to carrying (safely) the extra weight. Trailer manufacturers (I used to be one) normally use the lightest running gear that will carry the fixed load plus minimal cargo.

I wonder if I could make a pop-up out of my TT?
Want to borrow my Sawz-All? - dieharderExplorerThe big difference between this unit and a regular TT is weight. Pop-ups were never built heavy on the bottom. I'm sure we've all seen videos of TTs being blown over by high winds, I'd be concerned about this thing being blown over by a fart.

- DutchmenSportExplorerWhen I was much younger, my parents neighbor took a pup and converted it into a vendor trailer where they sold photos. They were the "official" track photographers at several of the late-model and hobby stock race tracks around central Indiana. The hard board sides folded down and the lifting mechanism still raised and lower the roof. On the inside of the 3 walls, they made slots (like sliding picture frames) for different sizes of photos (of the race cars) and winners of each heat from the week before. The front side (where the door is), they made a flip top counter, a comfortable height for anyone standing on the ground. Pretty creative to say the least.
I love it when people use their creativity and find ways to "recycle" or "re-purpose" older or unwanted RV's of any kind!
