- SDcampowneroperExplorerwe carry a 650 suzuki burgman. easy to load/ unload with its auto tranny, no problems or frame/ handling issues with our rig.
- fbru6312ExplorerI have my wifes scooter (4 Wheel heavy duty type) on a lift that attaches to the 2" receiver on the motor home, and I also put a 2" receiver on the front of the pickup to carry the scooter when I put the camper on the pickup. It only takes 2 minutes to lower it and 2 minutes to pick it back up,one strap to tie it down and a cover for the wet weather. She uses it everywhere. Shopping, flea market, sight seeing, running around the campgrounds etc. It works really well for her and I have wired a 110 volt plugin the back of the motor home and in the front of the pickup, so I can charge the batteries. I have a small Honda gen. for both. We are well pleased with it and she could not go without it. Sorry, but I don't have any pictures
- Big_KatunaExplorer III carry a 225 pound 150 cc Vespa. It will carry both of us up to 63 Mph.
It is great for festivals and other events as it is easy to find parking. I think you need one that will keep up with the flow on secondary roads so you need 50 MPH for safety's sake. We have taken 20 mile runs on it but usually a few miles to an event or grocery store
Lots of fun. - DufusExplorerKawasaki 750 Vulcan trike conversion. My profile shows picture of how we carry.
- ed6713ExplorerImportant. Check the max. tongue weight of the receiver. Don't exceed the maximum weight after adding the weight of the scooter and the scooter carrier. Plus. The max. Tongue weight is based on the load being 6" behind the hitch. A scooter is well more then 6" away from the face of the hitch. Need to deduct about 25% from the max. tongue weight to compensate.
It's dangerous to overload your hitch. - Charlie_D_ExplorerDon't carry a scooter but wife has broad shoulders.:B
Where you been Super?. First post I have seen from you in a couple of weeks. - pkunkExplorer50cc-good for the 2 of us up to 35mph. I'll ride the shoulder (if 5ft wide)to town for groceries.

We have the same Vespa. Carry it on a Versa Haul with a hydrolic lift on the back of our Winnie Era...Sprinter B class. - gasguzlerExplorerThere is always the "hydra Lift" option for 2 scooters. A cheaper alternative is a small 4' X 8' trailer to pull that is light weight enough to move by hand when empty. We have two Honda Ruckus scooters and they are fun. When i researched something to haul both on a hitch, only a hydra lift type lift would work and those are really expensive.
discountramps.com has many options for single scooters.
