You may fall off and hurt yourself with one as large as 49cc.Supercharged wrote:
What size do most people carry and what are they. Post a picture if you have any. How far do you ride it when you stop in a area?
I'm still planning on a 49cc Honda Ruckus, that I can lift inside the Class C. Now, if I can just figure out how to anchor and secure it in the aisle of the galley. I just can't risk it being stolen off the back of the C, and all that dust and road grit and grime that bikes take on a rack in the elements.
Until then, I take a cross breed bicycle that I lift up into the galley, and secure to the dishwashing towel rack, with lanyards and sponges between the frame and the wooden counter.:D - Skid_Row_JoeExplorer

I got a copy of your type of carrier and used it last summer, worked very well and the RV drove great with the scooter on the back.Help when pulling into camping site, does cost you and space at all, I going to a 200i model this year, hope it works out.
We carried a 250cc honda helix scooter on the back of our motorhome. It was about 350lbs. Sold it because we wanted something for longer distance trips and got a 450cc Yamaha Majesty scooter. It is about 460lbs and that was (to me) really heavy for the back of the Motorhome. We now have a small trailer and transport our scooter on it.
I really liked the having the scooter on the back of the motorhome. Very convenient and we could take it anywhere. The trailer makes things a little more challenging, but love the scooter.
Our longest scooter trip (two up) was about 90 miles. We did that in Yellowstone Park on our 250cc Honda. Scootn' is the best way to see the park, so easy to pull over to take pictures and view the sites. Just be careful of the buffalo...we got to see one up close and personnel trapped in a buffalo traffic jam. They are awfully big when you are up close and sitting on a scooter ;-). Nice to have a water cooled scooter as we saw some Harleys that had to stop to let the bikes cool down. Some times the buffalo create traffic jams and you might be moving very slow for extended periods. - F450Explorer
I would like to show you my rack that I made for my MH but I don't know how to post pictures.

I pull it behind me on a 10' long trailer. It is very easy to load and unload. The trailer gives me a place to put other items. I have also carried my scooter and 2 honda 50 cc scooters. I bought a receiver mounted carrier but did not like the load/unload ease. I have become pretty good at backing the little trailer

How do you get the scooter on and off the carrier? I am thinking of buying scooter but not aware of how to load/unload nor the carrier types and costs?
Would be interested in mobility scooter good shaped used.

I have a Honda 250 Reflex which hung up in the middle when loading it, so I just bought a 200i Kymco which has a 10 inch shorter wheel base which will work a little easyer for me, I told it will go 65 mph,and I don't plan to ride more than a few miles at a time, but want to take it off and on a lot as we travel.

I have to carry my GF's 185 lbs handicap scooter and had a hitch installed on the 5th wheel last fall when we bought it. After asking the question on many forums some say don't use the 5th wheel hitch because the bouncing will rip the hitch from the frame
I had a front hitch installed on my truck to use for the handicap scooter.
