I'm thinking if you have a battery system, it would be considered a self contained unit. A generator is not necessary?
It is if you want to recharge that battery system you mentioned, UNLESS, you have a solar set up.
somehow I doubt they have a schedule that lists appliances/ amount of solar panel produced electricity, number of batteries, etc. to finesse a specific requirement. :)
