Guns are NOT dangerous. I have carried one at work for 13 years and never injured or killed anyone with it. If anything... BULLETS are dangerous. Again... I have never heard of a bullet jumping up and hurting or killing someone. There is ALWAYS someone on the other side of that trigger that pulls it and causes injury or death. The person with the gun is dangerous... NOT THE GUN.
I never stated that people should be able to do anything they want. I stated that I agree with the right to possess a firearm (except for mentally ill or convicted felons). I believe there should be more stringent requirements to carrying a gun though. As I stated before, you should have some type of minimal qualifications, legal training and force on force training every year if you want to carry a gun. I go through that to carry my gun... I don't see why a citizen shouldn't have that same right as long as they meet the same criteria.
