Look up the definition of septic. "Septic" refers to the anaerobic bacterial environment that develops in the tank which decomposes or mineralizes the waste discharged into the tank.
Add oxygen, delete anaerobic bacteria and you no longer have a septic, but rather, a holding tank.
are those "obligate" anaerobes?
when I was in Cincinnati a lot of folks were using aerobic septic systems. blades kept stirring in O2 and the effluent from the tank was in fact drinkable, not that I would try a glass however.
