There is a bump stop in the suspension that will prevent you from pushing the front end down any lower than that without breaking something.
Theoretically, you should be able to use the same settings as before, just adjusting the position of the hitch head on the stinger to account for the new truck's ride height.
The physics are the same for both trucks, if they have the same cab type and bed size. The only difference is the amount of rise in the front and the amount of squat in the rear due to the stiffer 2500HD suspension. It will still take the same amount of force to return the front end to original ride height.
x2 on the bumpstops on the 2500. It take tremendous force to drop below unloaded ride height and you won't like the ride at all. And your not supposed to drop below unloaded ride height anyway.
However, your wheelbase may (likely is) be different than the other truck so same settings may not work. but if the back only dropped about an inch w/o WD, the front probably didn't go down even an inch, so I'd go back and measure front before and after again.
