OMG, Alfred Hitchcock and the attack of the RV sewer hoses... :E

I have never heard of crows or magpies going after sewer hoses in Wa. or BC., but they sometimes attack rubber windshield gaskets and wiper blades on vehicles for unknown reasons and if anything, you might worry more about that. Damage usually results from them foraging for food and sewer hoses can't be very tasty.
One technique for scaring crows away is to use a dead crow effigy. I have one in my den that I bought in a dollar store after Halloween and it looks very realistic. (My den is the only room in the house DW won't enter so the crow effigy is clearly working well.)
Magpies are related to crows and ravens but look different and are smaller and have colored feathers. Don't know if their patterns of damage are different.
Some very fascinating facts about crows!
