That's what we were thinking...maybe lamb chops for dinner.

We were at Mounds State Park (Anderson, Indiana) a few years ago and someone had a pet goat on a leash.

We camped with all sorts of "critters" too. But our overall favorite was our pet chicken. We used a cat harness on her and could walk her on a leash. She rode bicycles, went swimming with us, hiked trails, ate ice-cream, leftovers, anything. Actually she was the best pet we could ever have camping She was quiet, didn't make any noise (unlike a rooster that crows), and was VERY people friendly! She wore a premie-baby diaper and lived and roamed inside our house!






We also had quite a variety of other pets that went camping with us. A rabbit, several birds, we once had an iguana, a prairie dog, and even fish! Yes, fish!






At one point in time, all of these critters went camping with us at the same time. After all these years, we are FINALLY down to just 1 dog and 1 cat and don't get so noticed at campgrounds any more.



For some reason, "sheep" just sound so simple to me!

They're not that bad. Dry up fast just like deer droppings. Have them in the campground at Custer State Park, SD all the time.

Now try picking up after the buffalo that walk through the Grace Coolidge campground at Custer SP. :B

I bet they had it registered as a service animal. so they could take it everywhere. That's a big thing in Oregon. Emotional support sheep.

We were overnighting at Three Island Crossing State Park in Idaho a few years ago when a large motorhome pulled in to the spot next door. The door opened and a ramp was set out. To our surprise, down that ramp came a happy, tail-wagging, 400 lb. pig. We couldn't believe our eyes. He was very sweet and friendly, as were his owners. I don't think we'll ever forget him.
