Slide out off by 3-4" when open/ Flush when closed

Went on a family trip and after a good east cascade rain storm, had a rather wet RV... around the back slide. after getting home and opening up for a drying, I notice the back slide one side is flus...

Our slide has 2 geared rods driven in and out by a cog on each support rod. The cogs attach to the motor shaft with a woodruff key. One of those keys came out once and it cause the slide to come out crooked.
