How far south does one need to be to normally avoid freezing temperatures? Is San Antonio far enough? TIA

Met a couple in Arizona a year ago. They were looking for consistently warm weather. They had started in florida, not good enough ; went to RGV, not good enough; went to tucson, not good enough; friend and i suggested they try yuma as we had also been to all those places and if you want consistently warm weather that is about the only place you will find it.
