So I neded another step

after I raised my TT the factory steps seem to come up short. So I needed just one step. Couldn't buy a 3 step unit to replace the 2 step. None would fit. Moride couldn't help. So I ordered a single step, and mounted it on the bottom step. I made so that it can be easily removed, or installed. made it so that it would work on either the front or back steps.
Now DW won't fall out of the camper so easy.

  • No need to explain Terry.
It seems in this forum that many people like to point out errors more than give advice. If you do something different from them they take offence.
  • Had a step stool under the last step when she fell. Actually it moved causing her to fall. I wanted a much better / safer solution. And I found one. Not all campsites are level at the door, Some are on a steep slope. Seems Happy holiday made mounds where the camper sits, and it sits higher than the site with a unlevel slope to the site.
  • We carry a portable aluminum step for those rare occasions when need another step. It has folding legs that are adjustable and is very sturdy.

  • We did that and just made a small portable step that sits inside the doorway when traveling.

By the time you get to 3-4 steps, it creates a lot of torque on the attachment points and the last step is the worst for this.
