1. Place the trailer's axels on jack stands and the tires in your garage.
2. Have this guy send a certified cashiers check to you, from a bank in Florida.
3. Deposit the money in your account and do not touch the account until the
funds are really available.
4. Once the check has cleared then you can replace the tires and release
the trailer to the transport company.
Otherwise there are to many shady caracters out there, I normally take cash, I have the person purchasing go with me to my bank and have him hand the cash to the teller, so that they run it on the counting machine, any funny money will only be handlled by the buyer and the bank, I never touch the cash.
And I have everthing documented on paper signed with all pertinent information spelled out, as is, no warranty's or other implied goodies, all copies initialled and a copy for the buyer and one for me.
