I sold an RV on eBay to a guy in Florida. He has already contacted me & paid the $100 deposit via Paypal. He says he's going to get a transport company to pick it up but we haven't worked out the when...

Let's see....he buys a MH sight unseen. Gives you a tiny $100 deposit. Says he'll have a 3rd party pick it up. And will send you the funds...right? If you accept these terms, you might be lucky and NOT get scammed. But if you do get scammed... you got it coming to you.
Tell him you will accept cash only. Or if he can do a bank transfer, you will not release the vehicle for two weeks after the bank transfer is complete.
Personally, I would not sell anything thru a third party. If the buyer is not serious enough to take a personal interest, you don't need that buyer. Unless you can afford to give away your motorhome.
