Sold an RV-- best way to get paid?

Sounds like a scam to me.
Had plenty of them like this when I tried to sell mine. Especially when they start talking transport pickup.
Do not accept ANY type of check.

You should have had how to pay for it in the details of your ad. And if you did state paypal you might be stuck per EBay rules to accept it.

BTW: Regarding the sending the 'extra money' part. they now do not always say anything upfront to make you believe they are real.

I asked for a wire transfer and I notified my bank about it coming in, the guy sent a cashiers check instead and my bank deposited it. It was a bad check, and "I" almost went to jail for depositing a fraudulent check. So be careful.

But IMHO I would NOT do paypal either I've had them screw around money on my account. Don't know if these guys can pull the scammer cashiers check with Ebay?

IMHO, JMHO, now a days the ONLY safe way to do a transaction is CASH.
