Hi,
The paypal and craig's list "scammers" do this sort of thing.
For example:
They buy a used couch from you and use pay pal to provide you with the funds. After the pick up they dispute the condition of the item. The money is returned to them--and they deliver a different (wrecked) couch to you. They often offer to pay "more" than the listed price.
I would always use a wire transfer.
