Maybe the buyer is a dealer and has a deadhead transporter coming from Texas to Florida and he see an opportunity to add a good rig to his inventory. Maybe it is just a dang good deal. In reality, the buyer has a lot more at risk than the seller. If he sends a wire, the transport driver could pick up a bucket of bolts and the buyer would be SOL, because you cannot reverse a wire transfer. Nothing is 100% secure and a motivated scammer can and will beat you. But 99.9999% of all transactions that take place are successful because there really aren't that many scammers out there.WoodGlue wrote:
Red Flags:
2) He is in Florida but you're in Texas. Sight unseen and several states away. Sure sure!
3) Use of the words "transport company" is pretty suspicious if he used those exact words. Sounds like scammer language!
