Had a scammer approach me about a pop-up I had posted for sale on a local newspaper's web site. Said he was in the merchant marine, was almost never home, and wanted the pop-up for his father. Also stated he would send me a deposit via Paypal and then have a third party pick it up. Red flags everywhere. The message was awkwardly worded, and the story smelled like BS. I ignored that guy completely, wound up selling to a co-worker. Hope it worked out for the OP.
