- oh_boyExplorerIngenuity, lol Went thru Westbranch Mich. and stayed at a county park. Saw a young boy sitting beside the pedestal plugged into his (Ipod,Iphone). Sat there for hours and hours till dark. Next day we left but stopped again heading north 5 days later. He was still camped there and still plugged into the post. It was damp and misting and he had a poncho on. His two sisters were playing with other kids having a great time.
Wondered why he never carried an extension cord because a few feet away was a mesh gazebo tent used for supper. - drhuggybearExplorerI have to have me some electricity for my CPAP machine. ;)
- Cloud_DancerExplorer IIIt's NOT funny,......after the first discovery of needing a tooth implant...:B
But, it helps to be close to the Nuevo Progreso border crossing. - And no surge protector? He won't last a week.

There money is as good as yours. I seen a tent with a small A/C and tv.
Must be a northwestern thing. This summer, Dash Point State Park, a huge pull through site with one little car, a small tent & the power pole to charge the cellphone.
Have these people never heard of small car inverters?
Plenty of tent appropriate sites available. Meanwhile RVs are getting turned away at the gate because there are no sites available for them. The state is losing business with empty sites.
You missed my point. Read the last paragraph this time.
Still, it is funny to see tenters sitting in, & paying for, 30 & 50amp sites with a 20amp extension cord to power something as small as a charger. 20amp, which is found in many tentsites, can power all kinds of low draw things together. Look how we load up a circuit at home with powerstrips etc.
Seen lots of tenters in dry sites with a genny like a Honda 1000W as well. Perfect for them. - mileshuffExplorerFor the boondocker who must have it all.

- BobRExplorerI travel with an electric tooth brush. No border crossings to see a Mexican dentist for me!
- noe-placeExplorerDC, that's great.....I'm still laughing.....
