Someone is trying to scam me - BEWARE!
Well, I read a lot of posts here about people trying to scam many of you through buying your stuff for sale through PayPal and shipping your goods off..... It is always good for us here to have ano...

I think you did the right thing when you became suspicious of this reply to your ad.

I must say that I recently posted my FW on CL and sold it within 2 weeks. However, the person who brought it lives within 30 miles of me,so there was no talk of pre-payment or using Pay Pal. I'm like you, I don't have a PP account nor do I intend to get one.
My son who is active in selling on E-bay does have a PP account and is very happy with it.
So I guess what I'm saying is this:
1. In my experience,CL was a great no expense way to sell my RV,but it didn't involve any of the things you experienced.
2. If you need to have a PP account to do business in today's' world, they do work if you follow their rules.
