Sometimes camping just isn't fun as it should be

And I did say sometimes. I sit Here today after going on a week at a campground we love to visit. Most the time we camp neighbors aren't a problem. Well we had a older man arrive with a young boy and a large breed Poodle. They set up there travel trailer.

Everything was fine until about a hour later. Then came his two grown sons and another two kids of one of the sons and a girlfriend. So it's seven people staying in a site for six ( according to the rules). And two more huge dogs.

The campfire was lit and burned continuously for the last 4 days. Non stop smoke like a steam engine. Even after they went to bed after 1:00am. Logs were just thrown on again as soon as they got up the next morning. The MH' held up for a couple days but now the smoke has permeated it. They lived in the area because they went through one six foot pickup truck beds overloaded with wood in two days and went home for another load of wood. Yep, burned two truck loads in two days.

They had three large dogs of which were allowed to bark and run up aggressively to other people walking their dogs in front of their site almost starting fights numerous times daily. They barked at us every time we went outside, which needless to say was only to let our two dogs have a bathroom break. We couldn't sit out because of the smoke being so thick it clouded our site. The sites here are tight in the section we're in and they had so much stuff out on there patio their chairs were right on The edge of our drive as they had no more room on theirs. So that meant their dogs didn't have room to urinate on their site. So everyone else's became their backyard. Despite requests they go elsewhere. They just mocked you even after asking nicely.

Their kids went screaming & running through our site and others. Beer and liquor flowed all day and night. Normally I would ask for another site, but convinced myself they would leave sooner than they did. Yep ... totally my fault for not following through. I know better. Definite apologies to my wife. But they are packing up tonight for a departure tomorrow. At least we will get a day reprieve. 5 out of 9 days were enjoyable, the other 4 not so much.

Complaining to the management was considered, but I decided a flat tire wasn't worth it. We should have moved. But the management did observe their dogs going after people and drove on by without a word. So I kinda felt complaining wasn't going to work.
