One was hit by a car on a nearby busy street. The next year's fox family was a different pair of adults; they have identifiable individual markings.
I keep hoping that they are still around. My neighbor, aged 55, grew up on this block and they were here when he was a kid. I lived here for over 20 years before I saw any. It could be that just about everyone around here has dogs, which they did not many years ago.
