Long cold story short, road assistance eventually realized it would take a locksmith to get in. Over two hours & definitely not dressed for it. I made sure it won't happen again. Have you?

My doors have to be locked with a key. No way to accidentally lock myself out.

Many, many years ago I dropped my car off to have some work done. I couldn't get there before the shop closed, so I just had them leave it outside, throw my keys on the floor. Asked my wife for her keys...."Remember last week when we went to the amusement park? I tossed my keys into your glovebox so I wouldn't have to carry them all day", she said.I carry a spare door key to truck in wallet. Spare trailer key in truck. So, as long as the wallet isn't in the trailer (I leave it in there A LOT when camping) I should be ok.I also need key to lock trailer door.

If you lose your keys your locked out. Get a hide a key pouch the kind made out of ballistic nylon and has Velcro on the back. Get a spare key made. Take the outside fridge cover off and mount the pouch on the inner surface of the outside wall so nobody will see it if they take the cover off.

2013 Christmas week trip to Florida, stopped for diesel at a little out-of-the-way station, middle of the day, on a Sunday. Pulled up to the pump, everyone got out, me, my wife, and my son. The dog was still in the truck. I left my keys in the ignition.... you know where this is heading!We both left our cell phones in the truck (which was a real fluke, we always take them with us, no matter what). And all of a sudden ..... click!Yup, the dog stepped on the door lock and locked all the doors. OH no problem ... my wife has the second set of keys in her purse. "Honey, dog locked the door, can you get your keys out of your purse?" "Um, no." ... "Why not?" "Because my purse is in the truck!"... That was truly a moment of utter helplessness, if there ever was one.We went inside and talked to the guy on duty, he said there was a local lock smith that could probably help us, but would probably cost a bunch. Oh my! What do we do?Well, my wife then said ... "Hey, we (had) on-Star on the truck. I know we let it expire, but if we can call them maybe we can sign back up again then we can unlock the truck with our phones?".... "Um... honey .... the phones are IN the tuck!"We were both just simply lost! I was so frantic. Dog inside the truck, in the middle of no where, locked out!Well, my son had his cell phone (Good old son!). He looked up on-Star and we got connected. Turned out, even though we let our subscription expire, we still had a 5 year service plan with them for unlocking the door and starting the engine if we called them. Guess what? They unlocked the door! Phew!We reactivated our On-Star on the spot! We got the minimum, ability to unlock the doors and start the engine remotely. When the new car subscription expires on our new Chevy Equanox, we'll renew on-Star for that vehicle too.Now, we always make sure we have our cell phones with us. That darn dog knows how to open the windows and lock the doors in both vehicles! AND .. he's good at doing it too!Now, if on-Star would only work for the camper!

We have a ballistic nylon sleeve well hidden for ours as well. Spare entry key to both the RV and the toad.

Thought I was loosing my mind............

Had posted a response to this very thread but then I couldn't find it.

Didn't think it had been deleted as it was just a post about GF and I being locked out by our dog.

Then realized this exact post was in IRV2 Forum and I had responded there

Whew....thought 2016 was going to be a downhill run for sure :S

Magnetic key holder. Contains keys for everything I own!

There is ONE bay on every RV that does not have a lock on it.
THAT is where the magnetic key holder goes affixed on the top of the inside of the bay.

Another magnetic key holder with all the keys is way way under near the middle of the frame of the MH or under the TV if you have a TT.

Just last week I got locked out of the new house I bought and found out real quick there is no way to get in short of breaking a window! Thank God the MH is parked out front with a spare set of keys for the house in the key holder! :C

I wired a spare key under the MH 10 years ago just like my tow car. I had not had to use it and forgot about it until I read your post. However I forgot where I wired it and need to look before next trip.

We have spare keys for the coach and toad well hidden in an outside bin. There's a spare bin key hidden under the coach. The toad also has a spare key hidden outside.

Had the trailer door lock twice in previous unit. Both times just closed door & it locked on its own. Luckily, first time DH had keys in his pocket & second time I was taking dog for a walk & DH was inside watching TV. We got a spare set of keys and only had to use them once. Current trailer has a spare set, never been used, but there just in case.

We keep spare trailer keys in our water heater compartment with a twist tie. Have never had to use them in the past 20 years with multiple trailers. Always concerned that I would get to the storage yard and not have keys.

We have an electronic dead bolt lock on the entry door. However, being a believer in Mr. Murphy's Law, we do have a spare cab/ignition key well hidden beneath the RV.

DutchmenSport, we had exactly the same scenario:R The trailer wasn't locked so I grabbed a screwdriver and popped the truck slider window (those things are NOT secure) and my wife talked a skinny kid into crawling through and retrieving the keys while being licked to death by the dog.

For years we have had a spare set of keys locked in a realtor style combination lock box screwed to the frame.
