I don't have any idea of why or how water could leak from the dryer vent unless perhaps the water isn't draining completely and the spin cycle can't remove the bulk of the water. Then the drying effect carries a lot more moisture to the vent and outside.
Does the vent outside have any sign of excessive moisture????
Keep us advised as to the solution.
BTW: I'm surprised that you haven't heard back from Splendid...they have the best reputation of any vendor for customer support. They have even called me back the next day to see if their suggestion for a fix worked.
