It's official. Punxsutawney Phil did NOT see his shadow today.That means spring is just around the corner.I don't believe our elected officials but, how can you not believe a large rodent? :)

They said he didn't see his shadow but the weather man said it was sunny.Sounds like politicians to me.

Just watched it live on TV and he DID see his shadow, so ----- 6 more weeks till spring arrives.I do agree with gbopp though, there is NO difference between a rodent and a politician

I thought it was funny this morning on my way to work, on the radio in the car the DJ made the comment there was such a large crowd to at Punxsutawney it appeared there was more interest in the Ground Hog than in the Iowa Caucus. I about wrecked the car laughing so hard at that one. Regardless of Phil's pr3diction, Indiana State parks won't turn the water on till April 1.

The politicians meet ahead and time and decide what the forecast will be. It's all a sham.

It's a clear day in Punxatawney today, so the real forecast would have been 6 more weeks.

Yep, and it's Pennsylvania. With or without a rodent forecast we still have at least six more weeks of winter.
It just gives us hope that winter will end early. :)

I noticed right away this wasn't a popular news item here. I had to search GOOGLE to find out the results haha...

I also read the NATL GROUNDHOG in Canada passed away on 1 FEB I think it was... Was only 5 years old the report said...

We are still seeing left over snow from our big storm here in Northern Neck Virginia. I'm hoping this is the last bad weather we get until spring...
