I must think different that most folks as I like to keep thing simple. I already have a 7500 watt generator in the MH and I keep it full of fuel (100 gallon) so that is one option. I think I will pickup a Honda 2000 watt and a 5 gallon extended run tank. A couple more 5 gallon cans would run a long time. I can always keep the gas fresh by putting it in the Jeep. The Honda will run the blower on my central heat and the fridge. Heating, cooking and hot water are NG. That is all I have to have in an emergency. I have battery powered lights that run off of the Dewalt 18 volt batteries. I can also keep those charged with the small Honda.
If the power is off in the summer I will just run the MH generator and stay in the MH.
I could also use the Honda when we boondock in the NF to charge the MH batteries so I don't have to run the big generator.
