We used to have a pair of Camco step stabilizers, which we sold with our ViewFinder.In looking to order new ones, I found these CP Products stabilizers which have a locking pin/quick release in the middle. (No weight rating listed).Has anyone tried the CPProducts one or have any thoughts on how useful (or not) a center pin is or would be?

I prefer the Camco because they are adjusted by screwing top plate up down.The CP Product (haven't used) has 'fixed' adjustments. OK it ground is same distance at each site :B

Hmm...the CPProducts one looks like it has a screw threads to adjust height.The top is bowl instead of being flat, which seems odd.The pin thing looks like a quick-release with no setting(s) for height adjustment?

It looks pretty much like the ones that I bought at Camping World, Completely adjustable, there are holes in the center part and the shaft is adjustable with use of the threaded section. Mine work very well, be aware that you will need two of them for the best results

I have one of each. Two seemed to do the trick better after a rivet was lost in the scissor mechanism of our Kwikee Triple Steps. Both are adjustable with the screw top after getting a rough adjustment with the pins. Each one has a different pin mechanism. The Camco has a spring loaded push pin on for the holes on two sides. The other has a removable pin on a lanyard that goes through both holes.

I've read that with most step stabilizers, you're best off adding 2. I'm still looking for something. On another forum, a guy was making them and they looked really nice, but I missed my chance to buy in.

Oh well- I'll get something eventually.

The two-step model is a much-more-reasonably priced $200 - $250.

(unfortunately my budget is under 50 :B )

I use a short adjustable load lock under the top step with very good results. Seems the short one under the bottom might be a better option just not a adjustable as the load lock.

Thanks for the feedback. Our older Camco ones didn't have any sort of pin, so I wondered if it was an upgrade or a PITA.

As Biscuit said, sort of a tossup. Gonna get two, like we had for the TT. Maybe get one of each, like Cochise.

The GlowSteps are a teensy bit more than I had budgeted for stabilizers. Nice though.

The picture shows using only one of the CP Products. Wouldn't it be better it there was one under each corner?
