I leave the side in when I store may Toy Hauler. Would it be a good idea to back off the slide maybe a inch or so, so the slide gasket is not compressed for months at a time?
Most seals, mine are D-bulb, are pretty resilient. I prefer to leave my slides all the way in. I have noticed after long term, they are a little flat, when first opening, but they quickly return to normal shape. My owners manual also says to store with slides in, for long term storage, which I'm sure means all the way in.
