How far is it that you need to go? Could you purchase Roadside Assistance, like AAA Plus? In our region, AAA Plus gives us 100 mile tow free, then we can pay additional miles (forget the price since we've never needed it). Since it is a Van, you shouldn't need to get the RV rider. In our experience, AAA doesn't care why we need a tow, we just have to ask for it. Something like Coach-net will generally only take you to the nearest repair facility, which in your case is not helpful.
Another option would be to check with a local Tractor Trailer Broker, these guys find loads for Tractor owners that need work. They may know of a driver that needs a way to get home, hopefully the same general area you are going. My father-in-law was an over-the-road driver for many years and was in that situation several times. Truck broke down or he ran out of hours and wanted to get home for the weekend. He'd walk into the truck stop and ask if anyone was heading his way. Offer him/her a $100 to take you home. It's a win-win for both of you.
You can also check Craigslist, under Services and Travel/Vacation. In my locale, there are a lot of professional drivers looking for work.
