Deb--Only real damage to van was no more than a foot wide. Only took out the headlight assembly and bent the quarter panel. Airbags go off at about 12 MPH impact. I hit it at about 50.
Have had that happen to me.. Now Crash was averated.. But I'll be blanged if I can tell you how I put an 8' Wide Ford F-350 Custom through the 7' wide gap the idiot left me when he hung a left in front of me without bending metal.... But I know this.. I was doing some serious DRIVING.
No damage, No injury save to the underware and my loader's blood pressure. :).
(Strangly enough I do not get all that excited when stuff like that happens.. I mean when the idiot hung the left I was too busy to get exciete/worried, and once I was past him .. Well, nothing to get excited about once we determined no bent metal)
