If it can be heard on other than the site where it is originating it is too loud.

I pull out the "I have a five month old sleeping next door, do you guys mind keeping the volume down?" card. It usually works. (Note: I actually DO have a five month old, this probably won't work if you clearly do not have children)

Since I'm relatively young myself I can relate to the kids that come to a campground to party. I've found that, especially when alcohol is involved, people are oblivious to how their actions are affecting others. The more alcohol consumed, the worse it gets. Sure, sometimes you get that guy or group of people that are ignorant regardless, but in my experience everyone just wants to have a good time and peace can be kept.

In only the most extreme cases have I had to get CG staff or law enforcement involved. I like to try and control the situation myself without resorting to the heavy handed arm of the law. I'd rather be told I'm being a dick by my neighbor than have CG staff or law enforcement come tell me I'm being a dick and I give other people that same benefit.

Also be aware that if you escalate the fight by calling the police, the health department, homeland security and the like, you might not like the outcome. What is codified as disturbing the peace, creating a health nuisance and the like might not mesh with your definition. Start calling the authorities on your neighbors without really good reasons, you might be the one sent to the curb. In my opinion, worth exactly what you have paid for it, the proper channel is through the park. If you don't get satisfaction, it is time to leave. But as some others have pointed out, just because it disturbs you, doesn't automatically mean it is a violation.

In my younger, more stupid days...we were staying in a condo at a large ski area and some idiot had parked in a no-parking spot that infringed on OUR assigned space so badly that the driver had to let all of us out first; then he had to climb out the rear door. I wrote with my finger "learn to park" in the dirt on their back window......

As we pulled out the following day to leave, we saw that THEY had scrawled " **** YOU!" with a key down the side of our brand new van.
