As for your first question, I do not think you need an extended plan yet. Just remember that each piece of equipment in your unit has its own warrenty card to fill out.
You will read many pros and cons about Extended Warrenty plans. I myself have one on my TV and 5thWheel. I find it easyier to pay into that instead of putting money in the bank for repairs. I have used my warrenty on my truck with great success. Oh by the way its Good Sam and I feel that if you follow correct procedures they are no better or worse than anybody else.
The towing part is a different type of plan. It falls under the road service type of coverage. There again I have GS and used it many times with no complaints.
As for theft thats up to your company that holds the insurance on the unit. I would check with them on your coverage.
