The year's base warranty should be enough to catch any infant failures, just make sure you well exercise all items covered under warranty in that time. Buying a 1 yr extended warranty is good for a used vehicle where you don't know the maintenance history to protect you from any catastrophic failures. Again after after year's experience I would drop it.
