Taking a small boat along

My wife just purchased a Mini Bass I boat, about 11 ft long. It came with a trailer. We travel in a 40' motorhome pulling a Honda CR-V, and I don't want to do tandem towing for a lot of reasons including the fact that it's illegal where we live, but other than having one of us drive the car while the other drives the motorhome, I'm not sure how we could take this with us on our RV trips. It will work great for the lakes around our home, but I'd love to hear from someone who's come up with a way other than tandem towing to take along the car and a small boat.
  • You said “lakes around home”. Just tow the thing. Way easier and cheaper. Otherwise get looong and flatbed or cargo trailer the crv and boat.
  • Thanks for several good posts. It was about what I expected. We haven't used the boat yet, but it's about ready to go in the water now. And my wife has accepted that we won't try to tow the car and the boat at the same time behind the motorhome. I'm not sure how we'll finally work this out, but at least we know the options.
