Telescoping ladders
This weekend we had a bad storm and I had to climb up on the roof using the ladder on the back of my 5th wheel. I just felt like it was going to give way any minute plus getting back on to it to come...

Make sure the Telescoping ladder has a weight rateing high enough (Mine is rated 250. Most ladders are not rated that high, Ladders are tested to 2x their rating so it has no tribble with my 310 (Shower weight) at all)
Make sure the ladder is high enough to extend at least 3-4 feet ABOVE the roof.. My Telescop does not.. My convertable extension/Step does.. Just, 3 feet exactly.
It too is rated 250 pounds and has not problem
As for the thing Damon put on the back of the house.. I reached up and pulled it off,, Pulled it right off, Did not bother unjscrewing, Just pulled, and off it came... Not at all happy with that 100 pound ladder.
