tent for class c

we have extended our driveway to our backyard which makes us able to park our class c in our back yard .. however, we have a zillion trees dropping everything you can think of ...I have searched the web for a tent type set up just to keep the acorns, etc off the RV. we are on a slight slope so need like adjustable legs or such. I don't even know what im saying anymore .. LOL .. any suggestions?

I put up a 36' long, 12' wide, carport (RV013) from Coast to Coast Carports for a little under $2000. I like it.

  • not sure what kind of restrictions your neighborhood has, but canopies like sch911 showed above are considered temporary by most govt agencies and therefore aren't as likely to require permits or meet the same setback requirements. you won't have to worry about snowloads where you are, so the smallest size that meets your requirements is okay.

I have been thinking about getting one for my TT, but since canopy isn't quite as high as I would like, I plan to secure legs to concrete blocks raising it an additional 8 inches which should be enough. I will bolt legs to blocks, which means I don't have to deal with tiedowns and ropes either.

Check with Northern Tool, Tractor Supply or similar type stores.
  • I have a metal rv/car port. It's 28 ft long, we just bought a 32 ft motorhome so are adding two more posts, a purlin, and 5 roof sheets to extend it. If you don't have to move it, it's nice to have a permanent cover that the wind won't take away and the weather won't destroy it. Mine was around $1500 and was easy to put up. Be sure to shop around.
  • Google "RV carport shelter". Plenty to choose from.
  • Do a yahoo search for portable carports.
You will see carports with metal tops and with fabric top's
Another option would be a cover they are not as convenient but would do what you want.
The last option that I can think of is just plain old tarp or tarps over your RV
  • Think I would be looking for a metal car port instead of a tent.
They with stand the weather better. I had one in WI. For my Class A.
You can add sides to it also .Will keep the sun off better.
