Terrible quality!

I am usually a pretty upbeat fellow, healthy, good marriage, enough retirement to enjoy a couple nice things-----Life is Good.
However, today, when I looked up at the front cap of my 2016 Cougar fifth wheel trailer and saw the stickers peeling off?? I about broke out in the vapors!
The entire time we've owned this unit, it has been a piece of you know what. The slide was defective, trim fell off inside, plumbing leaked, the leveling system has never worked right, there is a serious frame flex in the pin box area, door locks broke, brakes didn't work right, and now the words across the front of the cap look like *@$!*&!
Please Lord, have the Chinese space junk fall on my very poorly made 2016 Cougar 279RKS...
O.K. Now I feel better. Tomorrow, I'll go out and take the stickers off. My son has a graphics shop and maybe he can make a new sticker for the cap-something to convey my frustration with Keystone.
Always good to leave on a good note--HAPPY EASTER to all.

Don't think I ever heard that one before.

I've never heard it either. Maybe it's a local Idaho saying?
  • There is a marked difference in build quality based on a distinct point in time. That time is 2014, before or after. Anyone who thinks otherwise is in fantasyland and it's with all manufacturers, not just Keystone. I wish I had a dollar for every time I wish I would have held onto our 2013 Keystone Passport instead of opting for our 17 Rockwood. At some point the bubble is going to burst, the RV manufacturers will tank as they always do, build quality will improve a little. That day is coming sooner rather than later.
  • you're not alone, brother. in the first 24-months of ownership and with just about 11,000-miles on the odometer we logged 18 or 19 issues ranging from inconvenient (microwave oven door would not latch) to major (slide out room failed to extend) and everything in between. all have been fixed we have experiened three minor repeat issues on our current trip. very frustrating.

  • Been tremendously disappointed in my AF as well. Super sloppy workmanship.
