- westendExplorerOne thing I'm seeing from my armchair up here in MN is the "get 'er done" attitude of all the guys down in Dickerson using their own boats to rescue whole neighborhoods. I wasn't that surprised but it was good to see.
Best wishes and prayers out to those effected. - rockhillmanorExplorer II

They refer to one of the RV parks destroyed as a 'caravan' RV Park. Anyone from Texas know what 'caravan' refers to?
The reporter (or) may not be "tuned in" to RV terms ??
A "caravan" is the standard Limey term for a travel trailer.~
Well there you go I learned a new RV term! :B Thanks. - Edd505ExplorerIt will be many sleepless nights for all the residence. Bless all the first responders doing what they do, be safe.
- 2112Explorer IIWe are 15 miles NW of Galveston. We're doing fine. 22" of rain so far but no flooding yet. The pastures are flooded but all structures are dry. I heard a tornado go overhead last night but I'm not aware of any damage caused by it.
It's been an interesting weekend to say the least.
All this rain helped me locate a few leaks on the camper. The power cable mouse hole needs recaulked and the TV antenna leaks when up. I lowered the antenna and it stopped dripping. I assume there may be a seal in there that needs replacing. - DiskDoctrExplorerHang in there Brothers and Sisters! We're praying for you! :)
- filrupmarkExplorerWe are here in Richmond just southwest of Houston. I consider us very lucky. 21.7" so far for us. Our house ,vehicles and trailer still dry. But the rain keeps coming.
- KirkExplorerWe are presently in east Texas, near the city of Tyler. Thus far Dallas area has had some rain but none here at all. We seem to be well to the north of the cold front that has held the storm in the coastal areas. I have sent email to some of the Escapee staff but have not heard anything back as yet. Reports we get from the areas of Corpus Christi up through Houston are not good and expected to get worse with more than 24" of rain so far and at least that much more expected.
