hey, don't be telling him stuff like that about eastern Oregon. We have had it nice a quiet for many years and we like it this way. we are a nice place to visit, just don't move here. That is what a Governor of Oregon told the people of Calif many years ago.
That governor must have been in office in the early 70's. Our family was going to move to Roseburg Oregon from SoCal and I remember my parents talking about the governor saying that. We ended up taking the governors advice. - eubankExplorerThere are plenty of very lonely places, but the list is deeply reduced since you want some place where the government built you a nice road in and out for your RV.
:)
Lynn - VeebyesExplorer IIX2 on Minnesota. Got caught by a late season snow storm there a few years ago. Nothing was open however a COE CG let us in on friday, turned on 50amp power for us, closed gate behind them when they left for the weekend & we did not see anyone till Monday.
As the snow fell we had the park all to ourselves. - CA_TravelerExplorer IIIYukon which is huge! With a population of 36,000 there is one person for every 5 square miles.
- hugemothExplorerPlenty of room in Southeast Oregon where you won't see anyone for weeks, and you can take your choice of forest or desert. Much of the area has no cell service, TV, or radio (except distant AM stations at night). My personal preference is the Steens Mtn/Alvord Desert area. If you camp off the main roads you probably won't see anyone. Another good spot is the Ochoco Mtns east of Prineville Oregon. Nice ponderosa forest with streams and meadows, closer to civilization but still remote.
- PadlinExplorerAre these places where someone with a 30' MH or 4x4 TV with 30' TT can use, or more like DJ's TC rig?

- skipncharExplorerThat is the sort of thing I don't give out in a public forum for JUST the same reasons you said. Don't WANT to see others when using these disbursed areas in Idaho, Colorado and Arizona (places I've found just those kind of sites.
