I have tracked every tank of gas in all my vehicles for years and have not seen any difference in MPG from cheap gas to brand name gas. I have noticed lower MPG when installing new tires, carrying luggage or kayaks on my roof, and bicycles off the trunk of my car. The only small increase of MPG that I have seen on the MH was advancing the timing from 4 degrees BTDC(stock) to 9 degrees (about .25 MPG). What I have not tried is advancing the timing more and using a higher octane gas. Some feel that paying more for additives is worth the extra price to keep the engine clean like Techtron. I use a can of Seafoam once every other year it is cheaper than buying gas with expensive additives.
