Yes Rick when your state takes up 2/3 of the western seaboard we have a central coast! :B Also known as the Gold Coast and the California Rivera!
plus residents of Central Cali and Norcal, don't want to be associated with SoCal. so many(including myself when i lived there)prefer to separate us from there, cause the rest of the state is much different.
there's been numerous attempts to break the state up into smaller separate states, thru the years.
