Looks like sales have been booming here in PA. I window shop, and I've noticed since May 1 when auto/rv sales could resume, that the new and used inventory of a large multi-location dealer is just about depleted. Its not Camping World. March and April were of course dead and prices were lower. I think you could only buy online at that time, with home delivery. RV Trader is also showing fewer units in my area.

I guess its pent-up demand, along with some folks making more staying at home plus the stimulus cash?

My wife's step daughter works at one of the local chain motels. RVs still parking in the motel lots overnight. Business in motel down to zero for the last 45 days. All employees laid off accept security teams. Unemployed are taking home more dollars from unemployment benefits than they were making while working. Go figure, stay home and make more money than when you worked. That never happened in my lifetime. Does not seems sustainable to me. No incentive to return to work.
RV dealer's parking lots around here are filled to the brim with new and used models. Not much activity coming or going whenever I pass their places en-route to grocery or pharmacy.
These are strange times we are experiencing.

Going to Lazy Days in Tampa may 16th to trade in our motor home on a new Thor XG32 Omni. Got a heck of a deal on it and I did search around a lot on the internet.Looking forward to the road trip.

Don't take this personal but we in AZ have a hard time finding camping spots because the snowbirds get here when the weather cools and don't leave till it warms up. We've tried getting a spot in Parker along the CO River or at one of the state parks, for example, but the campsites are full for months on end. We end up boondocking, instead.

Could be that some of those unaffected by the coronavirus-induced economic downturn find self-contained, socially-distanced travel to low-density rural areas an appealing option, producing a short-term surge in RV sales. Long term, many will have less money and/or be reserving what they have for essentials. Should be more of a buyer’s market as time goes on, at least until a solid recovery kicks in.

Plus many are also expecting to Not get there old job back when things open up and might have to relocate and nothing is better than a RV when moving around trying to get work..

There is talk over 50,000 casino workers here in Vegas will not be rehired..

All the state campgrounds in California are closed with no date to reopen. Some private campgrounds are open and your only choice unless you want to pull off the road somewhere it's legal and dry camp

On the other hand who is it. Steelcase (not sure) makes the captain chairs in my RV, Shutting down due to lack of business suggests sales not as grand as all that.

NO Flex steel is the company. Steel case is not in danger of shutting down but they make office chairs..

I know a couple of people that work for manufacturers... 1 for Forest River, and 1 for Redwood.. They Both said the same thing ... Business is crazy busy... I also am friends with a GM at a local RV dealer, he said they were slow during the shutdown, now they are open under certain circumstances, they are kicking it...

I don't know how, or why,, ?? I will say this... In our industry ( manufacturing & steel ) , we have a bunch of customers that are having a hard time getting their workers back, as they are making more on unemployment and govt money then by paycheck...
