- GoostoffExplorerI have only been a victim of this one time. It was a yappy dog thread where I was trying to find resolution to a tie out problem I found the first time out camping with my dog. Some lady started bashing my dog most likely because of his breed, saying he had no business being in a campground all the while not even reading the entire thread. I got home from work the next day to find the thread closed before I even got a chance to defend my dog. Funny thing was a dog behaviorist/trainer came to the local campground with me between camping trips. We tied him to a tree and found what needed to be done, and fixed the problem. Next camping trip he was a perfect angel all weekend, but yet I seen little yappers doing the exact same thing all weekend, and the owners would laugh about it thinking it was funny that the yorkie was trying to attack my dog.
Long stoy short....the thread needed to be closed. I just wish I could have defended myselfbefore it was closed. This left the lady thinking she was right. - GrillmeisterExplorer

- coolbreeze01ExplorerSeems like we get what we pay for, more or less....Have fun, be happy :C
- deleted-2ExplorerModerating is hell online...
I agree with Francesca.
I dunno why more threads that see a resolution don't get shut down quicker than they do.
Some threads on here just don't seem to die even when the OP states problem solved.
As for the bicker threads those are everyone's favorite and will always be a feature of any on-line forum. - Francesca_KnowlExplorerI like the just-close-it approach- when it's over, it's over.
As for explanations:
It's usually obvious to everyone why a thread got closed....and speaking as the "perpetrator" of more than one post that's been deleted:
The Moderators have enough to do without having heart-to-hearts with us about our transgressions. The fact that I get no explanation makes ME try to figure out where I went wrong, and hopefully to change my ways next time- or UNTIL the next time, anyway... :B - GMT830ExplorerHaven't been on a forum yet that the mods don't delete posts and close threads at will.
Could be worse, no forums to communicate and share.
Or you can start your own forum and have your own rules. But I'll bet you'll be deleting and closing posts too. - downtheroadExplorerI've been here for 10 years...This is what I look like now. And I still enjoy it and have at times deserved having my posts axed.
(thick skin) - Old-BiscuitExplorer IIIYou've been a member since 2005.....you should be use to the 'shot-gun' approach on here by now.
Some Mod's do post warnings, some post 'Closed', some just whack/poof/gone.
Rule #1 (The for whatever rule).
Irritating.......YES
Changes.....doubtful
