Jeesh, can't beleive this is my first post...Francesca, you are a trip! :B We are pretty much spoiled in America, in many third world countries there's a waste receptacle beside the toilet for used paper. However, I also remember working a few trips to Central America, (as a flight attendant) where we had to go into the lav every couple of hours and clean up the paper left crumpled up on the floor in the corner! Ugh, rubber gloves, anyone? Thank goodness I'm retired!
On my 60th birthday trip to India, I found they don't even use TP, you use a water bucket (and your left paw!) and/or a spray nozzle, then "air dry". I always took my own TP with me, and ziplocks for disposal later on.
